BC Libraries Present: Climate Change with John Vaillant

Libraries across BC have partnered to present a cross-province conversation series on relevant topics important to British Columbians.

For our first season, we’re hosting three conversations on climate. For the second event in the series, come hear John Vaillant discuss his new book, Fire weather: the making of a beast. It follows the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire and its aftermath, and describes the anthropological history between humans and fire, how it has shaped our societies, and how it now threatens them in the context of climate change.

Vaillant will be interviewed via livestream, using the live video platform Crowdcast. Those interested in this event can connect live from home from 6:30-8:00pm PST. Register online to watch.
